1Before you start#
- In Instagram, switch to a Business or Creator account. It is free.
2The two ways#
- Directly with your Instagram login. This is the newer way and the one to use for messaging.
- Through a Facebook Page linked to your Instagram.
3Switch to direct#
- Go to Settings, Integrations, then Manage on the Instagram card.
- Turn on Enable messaging and automation for the direct connection.
- This turns the Facebook Page connection off for that account. Your DM automations carry over.
The Manage window may still list both. Only one is active.
4Comment automations#
- In the comment trigger, pick the page, then Published or Custom post, then your phrase.
- Post list empty? Check the right connection is the active one.
